Kita dekat Allah mendekap :) "There is nothing to writing. All you do is sit down at a typewriter and bleed." - Ernest Hemingway Hi guys! Thanks for catching up to my blog. Well, if you think that I have no time to do other things so I could spend much time writing in this blog, you might be right, and wrong. Right is, yap, because these last weeks have been pretty hectic for me as I'm preparing for my final exams, and I hope you are praying for me to make it through well. But you may be wrong, because I don't feel like "wasting" my time writing this blog, because writing is something I love, an honest expression of my thought, and another form of "bleeding", as Hemingway said, in terms of expressing my inner me. I write because I am always learning. Anyway, I believe that most people used to write the diary, spilling what they felt, and kept it to themselves. However, by that way, they only befriended with silence, as nobody would comment, or share the thought and burden, because you only kept it to yourself, and it would be awkward to share your diary to others. But, thanks to this amazing thing called social medias, people are starting to express their thoughts in social media platforms, well that's what social medias are for, isn't it? However, it is not socially accepted and socially ethical to write long composition in social medias, so you cannot write the whole story you wanted the world to know. If you want to write long and let the world grasp your story, thoughts, or knowledge without hesitation AND limitation, I recommend you to write in blog, like I am doing in this very moment. Social medias, like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram are basically micro-blogs, and reason why people are using social medias is because it is micro, not as hard to manage as blog. People sometimes find it confusing to manage a blog. But no worries, if you are a newbie in this blogging thing, you should use this simple, light yet effective Web 2.0 tool I am using, WEEBLY. First things first, it is free to use. All you need is simply register using email, just the way you start with other social medias. However it functions as effective as other well-known blogging tools like Wordpress, Blogger, Blogspot, Tumblr etc. But what differs the Weebly from the rests is it is the easiest one to use. Why is it the easiest? Because all you need to arrange in your writing editor is all there in your left screen, and all you need to do is drag-and -drop to your draft. But Weebly is not just easy to use. It also has a long list of useful features. You can create a full ecommerce store, customize your mobile theme, design custom backgrounds, build dynamic forms and more. As I said, you can simply drag and drop elements such are texts or images, arrange them into columns and rows into the body of your text. The editor is smoothly running and responsive, there are no bugs and even, no annoying advertisements. How about the designs? Well Weebly has more than 70 beautiful designs to simply choose and apply. But if you are an familiar in Web design and stuff, you can build your own with Html and CSS. Well, I believe my writing is convincing enough for you to try Weebly, but if it is not, you can watch this video. Well, in every new knowledge, insight, and ideas in what we read, there is always someone who writes that. Why don't we become that person? Everyone, including me, and you, can be that person, as everyone can write, but not everyone can stand up and start. As always, keep your winsome smile! Hi
Apakabar semuanya ? Salah seorang teman Abunawas ingin mencoba menolong. "Cobalah utarakan kesulitanmu kepadaku barang-kali aku bisa membantu." kata kawan Abunawas. "Baiklah. Semoga kita selalu di beri ketenangan hati :) Cumamınız Mubarek Olsun This quote is taken from " The Little Prince" book by Antoine de Saint-Exupery. This book is both the most-read and 3rd most-translated book in the world, and was voted the best book on the 20th century in France.
I highly recommended this book! Here is my favorite part from the book: The little prince went away, to look again at the roses. "You are not at all like my rose," he said. "As yet you are nothing. No one has tamed you, and you have tamed no one. You are like my fox when I first knew him. He was only a fox like a hundred thousand other foxes. But I have made him my friend, and now he is unique in all the world." And the roses were very much embarrassed. "You are beautiful, but you are empty," he went on. "One could not die for you. To be sure, an ordinary passerby would think that my rose looked just like you--the rose that belongs to me. But in herself alone she is more important than all the hundreds of you other roses: because it is she that I have watered; because it is she that I have put under the glass globe; because it is she that I have sheltered behind the screen; because it is for her that I have killed the caterpillars (except the two or three that we saved to become butterflies); because it is she that I have listened to, when she grumbled, or boasted, or ever sometimes when she said nothing. Because she is my rose. And he went back to meet the fox. "Goodbye," said the fox. "And now here is my secret, a very simple secret: It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye." "What is essential is invisible to the eye," the little prince repeated, so that he would be sure to remember. "It is the time you have wasted for your rose that makes your rose so important." "It is the time I have wasted for my rose--" said the little prince, so that he would be sure to remember. "Men have forgotten this truth," said the fox. "But you must not forget it. You become responsible, forever, for what you have tamed. You are responsible for your rose . . ." "I am responsible for my rose," the little prince repeated, so that he would be sure to remember. Such a woman is ‘phenomenally phenomenal.’ We have to ignore the conventional view of being beautiful which is only related to physical appearance. We have to feel proud of what God has endowed us with. Women should not succumb to the artificial canons of beauty. Moreover, that our beauty lies much beyond the outer appearance. Phenomenal Woman By Maya Angelou Pretty women wonder where my secret lies. I’m not cute or built to suit a fashion model’s size But when I start to tell them, They think I’m telling lies. I say, It’s in the reach of my arms, The span of my hips, The stride of my step, The curl of my lips. I’m a woman Phenomenally. Phenomenal woman, That’s me. I walk into a room Just as cool as you please, And to a man, The fellows stand or Fall down on their knees. Then they swarm around me, A hive of honey bees. I say, It’s the fire in my eyes, And the flash of my teeth, The swing in my waist, And the joy in my feet. I’m a woman Phenomenally. Phenomenal woman, That’s me. Men themselves have wondered What they see in me. They try so much But they can’t touch My inner mystery. When I try to show them, They say they still can’t see. I say, It’s in the arch of my back, The sun of my smile, The ride of my breasts, The grace of my style. I’m a woman Phenomenally. Phenomenal woman, That’s me. Now you understand Just why my head’s not bowed. I don’t shout or jump about Or have to talk real loud. When you see me passing, It ought to make you proud. I say, It’s in the click of my heels, The bend of my hair, The palm of my hand, The need for my care. ’Cause I’m a woman Phenomenally. Phenomenal woman, That’s me. Hi! Welcome back to my blog, I am really glad that you are catching up. There is no doubt how essential mastering foreign languages is in today’s globalizing world. We are not only talking about English here, as English is a very compulsory language to master due to its International Language status, but also the necessity to master other languages as well. The fact that Chinese has approximately 885 million speakers, Spanish has 266 million speakers, Arabic has 290 million speakers, might open our minds of how great our career opportunity will be should we master those languages other than English. However, we must keep in mind that mastering foreign languages has more benefits than solely bolstering our career opportunities. Learning a foreign language also means enhancing life with other culture, developing self-confidence, cherishing people and heritage, and exercising the mind as it involves utilizing different skills such as memorizing, recognizing different types of sentences and mastering pronunciation. People who learn foreign language seem to have better mental flexibility and creativity in reasoning and conceptual thinking. Plus, it also prevents our brain from getting dementia. Well, we should start now. But before you start looking for real language courses (If you really need to) you might want to take a look of the three language courses site I write below. Thanks to technology, learning language is only one keyboard away, and you might be able to enjoy your meal and drink your coffee during your courses. You’re welcome. 1. Quizlet
The first site I will write about is this light, simple and easy studying course named Quizlet. Perhaps I should start with its history first. Quizlet began as an idea conceptualized by 15-year-old Andrew Sutherland (yes, 15. If you are 20 or above and not yet doing something important, you should question your life) when he was assigned by his French teacher to memorize 111 animal names. After realizing the daunting task of mechanical memorization, Sutherland sat down to write code for a program to aid him in memorization. These first lines of code were scrapped and then rewritten meticulously and carefully over the course of 420 days by Sutherland. Quizlet was released in October 2005. Quizlet is available in English, French, German, Japanese, Mandarin Chinese, Portuguese, and Russian. As a memorization tool, Quizlet lets registered users create "sets" of terms customized for their own needs. These sets of terms can then be studied under several study modes. Flash Cards, Learn, Speller, Scatter, Space Race are some of the study modes. In addition to those, Quizlet provides an application programming interface that allows others to access Quizlet data. Available functions include uploading and downloading flashcards, modifying users' flashcards, and finding definitions created by Quizlet users. I have personally been using this awesome site to study English. This site makes it possible for us to find and practice our skills in questions from well-known exams like SAT or GRE. We will also be able to share the questions with other users (20 million registered users worldwide). Don’t worry about not catching up to the course, because you can select the suitable level for you, starting from the very basic until the advanced level. Official Website Quizlet 2. Livemocha This awesome site is the world’s largest online language learning community, with 16 million registered members from 196 countries around the globe. It was founded in 2007 by Raghav Kher, Shirish Nadkarni and Krishnan Seshadrinathan. They came up with the idea for a web-based approach while utilizing the power of social networking sites for language learning, with an emphasis on active participation and exchange in order to hone practical skills. Livemocha supports the learning of 38 languages. Livemocha is highly applauded by its success and innovation in fusing traditional learning methods with online practice and interaction with native language speakers from around the world. Livemocha is also said to deliver an unparalleled learning experience that promises conversational fluency. For me, the best thing about Livemocha is its real-live learning experience, where you can speak the language you learn with natives online. Its portability is another special feature, allowing anyone to learn language anywhere, and anytime. Official Website Livemocha 3. Mango Languages Mango Languages is a language learning site, with the app also available in Android and iOS platform. It supports a numerous amount of languages to study; 60 (!) It is equipped with easy learning methods. Each course starts with an overview of what you expect to learn, both conversationally and grammatically. Use the arrow to navigate forward and back in the app to move to one slide to another. In case you are bored, you can also use the scroll bar to jump to a particular slide. On each slide, the narrator will give you instruction of pronunciation. It also gives you the tip of using words culturally, with accordance to the culture of the people who use that language. The words are color-coded to make you memorize better. You can also record your voice, to compare your pronunciation with the narrator’s. Well, you will have to pay $20 per month in order to get the access, unless you live in U.S and Canada where you can get free access from the public libraries. Official Website Mango Languages The three sites I wrote are not all, there are several other methods you can find, out there on the internet. But all the things will come back to you, and your will. If you really want to learn to master those languages, you should do better than signing up to those apps, sharing your work in social media, and stopping. Good luck! |
